Water Filtration & Softener Installation for South Charlotte Homeowners
Spotting on glassware, scale on a shower door, soap that will not lather, a water heater element that fails early — the symptoms of hard or poorly filtered water all cost money quietly. Well water in the rural parts of Union and Lancaster counties adds iron staining and sulphur smell to the list.
Test before you buy
There is no point installing a softener for a problem you do not have. We test hardness, iron, pH and chlorine on site, and if the numbers do not justify a system we will tell you so.
What we install
Whole-home carbon filtration for chlorine taste and odour on municipal supply; ion-exchange softeners for hardness and scale; sediment pre-filters for well water; iron and sulphur removal where the test calls for it; and under-sink reverse osmosis for drinking water. We are a Halo dealer and also install and service the other major brands.
Installed to be serviceable
Bypass valves so the house still has water during a service, a drain connection that meets code, and a filter housing you can actually reach — small things that decide whether the system gets maintained or ignored.

Water Filtration & Softener Installation — questions we get asked
Is water hard in the Charlotte area?
Municipal supply here is moderate rather than severe, so scale builds slowly rather than dramatically. Private wells vary enormously — some are fine and some are very hard with iron on top. A test costs nothing and settles it.
Softener or filter — what is the difference?
A softener removes the calcium and magnesium that cause scale. A filter removes taste, odour, sediment and contaminants. They solve different problems and plenty of homes benefit from both.
Will a softener make my water taste salty?
No. The sodium added by ion exchange is far below the level anyone can taste. If low-sodium water matters medically, a potassium-chloride system or a reverse osmosis tap is the answer, and we install both.
