Commercial Water Heater Service & Replacement

A commercial water heater failure closes a salon, stops a restaurant passing inspection and generates a very fast queue of tenant complaints in a multifamily building. Most of them give warning first — if anyone is looking.

Preventive service

Anode inspection, flush, thermostat and mixing valve check, T&P test, and a look at the venting and combustion air. An hour a year, and it is what makes the difference between a planned replacement and an unplanned closure.

Replacement

We size for real peak demand, not for what was there before — usage patterns change, and a great many commercial heaters are replaced like-for-like with something that was already too small. We handle the removal, the rigging, the permit and the inspection.

Questions

Commercial Water Heater Service — questions we get asked

How often should a commercial water heater be serviced?

Annually at minimum; twice a year in hard water or high-demand applications like restaurants and salons. Skipping it is the single most common reason a commercial heater fails early.

Can you replace a unit without closing the business?

In most cases yes, by working overnight or before opening. We plan the shutdown window with you before the day.

Should we go tankless?

It depends on the demand profile. Continuous heavy draw favours tank or a hybrid; intermittent demand across a long day often favours tankless. We look at how the building actually uses hot water before recommending either.
