“Fantastic company! Jack was honest, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything that was wrong in great detail. Will definitely be calling him for any future plumbing needs.”
Weddington's Go-To Plumber for Fast Repairs
Weddington has the mature trees people move here for, and mature trees are the single biggest cause of the sewer and septic calls we take in 28104. Roots do not break a pipe — they find a joint that has loosened slightly and grow into it, and the blockage returns on a seasonal schedule until the joint is repaired.
The other Weddington pattern is age spread. A 1980s custom home off Providence Road and a 2015 build in Weddington Trace are different plumbing systems entirely, and we work both across Kings Grant, Hemby Bridge and the Rea Road corridor.

Weddington-specific problems
Root intrusion. If your drains back up around the same time each year, that is roots, and no amount of cabling fixes it permanently. We camera the line, locate the joint, and quote a spot repair — usually one hole, not a trench.
Septic systems. Larger parcels here are frequently on septic, which changes what can go down a drain and makes a slow fixture a very different diagnosis. We work with septic properties and will tell you honestly when the problem is in the tank or the field rather than the house.
Older custom homes. The 1980s and early 1990s stock here often has polybutylene supply or early copper starting to develop pinholes. When we see a second leak within a year we will say plainly that a repipe is the cheaper path.
Well water. Some properties outside the utility service area run on private wells. Free water test, then a recommendation — or a recommendation to do nothing, if the numbers say so.
What the housing here is like
Large lots, mature trees, and a housing stock that spans four decades — 1980s custom homes next door to 2010s builds. Septic systems are common on the larger parcels.

“This company was recommended by a neighbor and I could not be more happy with the service they provided! When we realized we had a semi serious water heater problem, Open Water Plumbing was very responsive, not only with calls and text to help me ensure the problem did not get worse but also made it a priority to get to our home to repair the issue the next day. I would happily use them again, and the price was extremely reasonable! 5 star!”
“Jacek installed my outdoor built in kitchen, unclogged my toilet (my daughter flushed down a plastic bottle) and he finished a couple other small jobs for me. He was always on time. Very easy to work with. Even if you think something is not possible, better call him first, I am pretty sure he will find the solution.”
Weddington plumbing questions
My Weddington drains back up every year around the same time. Why?
Almost certainly roots at a joint in your sewer lateral — they grow seasonally, which is why it feels like a calendar event. A camera inspection finds the joint and a spot repair ends the cycle.
Do you work on septic properties?
Yes. We handle everything from the house to the tank, and we will tell you straight when a problem is actually in the tank or drain field so you are not paying us to chase it.
Is polybutylene common in Weddington?
In homes built from the late 1970s through the mid 1990s, it turns up regularly. It fails at the fittings and rarely gives much warning, so it is worth planning a replacement rather than waiting.
