“Fantastic company! Jack was honest, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything that was wrong in great detail. Will definitely be calling him for any future plumbing needs.”
Gastonia's Go-To Plumber for Fast Repairs
Gastonia is an old city and the plumbing shows it. York Chester and the streets around downtown have housing from the early 1900s with original supply and waste still in service in plenty of properties — which is a very different job from anything in the newer subdivisions spreading east toward Charlotte.
We work all of it, and on a house of that age we diagnose properly before quoting anything.

Where we work in Gastonia
York Chester Historic District, downtown Gastonia, Gardner Park, Robinwood and the Union Road corridor. Covering ZIP codes 28052, 28054 and 28056.
York Chester and the historic streets
Galvanised supply closed up from the inside, cast-iron waste that has thinned, and clay laterals that the mature trees along these streets found decades ago. The honest answer on many of these houses is replacement rather than a fourth repair — and we will show you the camera footage rather than just asserting it.
Mid-century neighbourhoods
Gardner Park, Robinwood and similar: cast iron reaching the end of its life, original copper starting to show pinholes, and water heaters that have been replaced once and are due again.
Rentals and investment property
There is a lot of it here, and landlords generally want two things — a fast fix so the tenant stops calling, and straight advice about which repairs are worth doing properly now rather than repeatedly. We give both, and we put it in writing.
Newer development east of town
Standard newer-build items: builder-grade water heaters at end of life, failed pressure reducing valves, and the occasional workmanship fault worth checking against a builder warranty before you pay for it.
What the housing here is like
An old mill city with a lot of genuinely early-twentieth-century housing, particularly in York Chester, alongside mid-century neighbourhoods and newer development spreading east toward Charlotte.

“This company was recommended by a neighbor and I could not be more happy with the service they provided! When we realized we had a semi serious water heater problem, Open Water Plumbing was very responsive, not only with calls and text to help me ensure the problem did not get worse but also made it a priority to get to our home to repair the issue the next day. I would happily use them again, and the price was extremely reasonable! 5 star!”
“Jacek installed my outdoor built in kitchen, unclogged my toilet (my daughter flushed down a plastic bottle) and he finished a couple other small jobs for me. He was always on time. Very easy to work with. Even if you think something is not possible, better call him first, I am pretty sure he will find the solution.”
Gastonia plumbing questions
Do you cover 28052, 28054 and 28056?
Yes — York Chester, downtown, Gardner Park, Robinwood, the Union Road corridor and the newer development east of the city.
Our York Chester house still has the original pipes. Repair or replace?
We will camera and pressure test before saying. Galvanised supply that has closed up internally does not improve, and on a house that age a repipe often costs less over five years than the repairs it replaces. If yours has life left, we will tell you that instead.
Do you work for landlords?
Yes. Fast fixes where that is what the situation needs, and honest written advice on which repairs are worth doing properly now.
