Backflow Testing & Prevention for Commercial Properties

Annual backflow testing is not optional and the utility does not send a reminder twice. A missed test means a notice, and an ignored notice means the water gets shut off — which for a restaurant or a medical suite is the end of the trading day.

What we do

Certified testing on RPZ, double-check, PVB and AVB assemblies, with the report filed directly with your water purveyor. If an assembly fails we rebuild or replace it and retest, usually the same visit — we carry the common repair kits.

Testing on a schedule

Put your assemblies on our calendar and we test before the deadline every year without you having to think about it. For portfolios we test every site in one visit window and send you a single report pack.

New installations

Irrigation systems, fire lines, boilers, chemical injection and any process connection needs the correct assembly for its hazard class. We size, install and commission.

Questions

Backflow Testing & Prevention — questions we get asked

How often does a backflow preventer need testing?

Annually in every jurisdiction we serve, and the water purveyor tracks it. Some hazard classes and some municipalities require more frequent testing — we will tell you which applies to your assembly.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

You get a notice, then a second notice, then the utility can shut the water off. It is entirely avoidable and much cheaper to stay ahead of.

My assembly failed the test. Now what?

Most failures are a worn check or relief valve and a rebuild kit fixes them on the spot. We carry kits for the common assemblies, so in most cases we repair and retest in the same visit.
